Jarvis as your sales assistant
The sales-assistant persona is tuned for outbound work. It cannot close a deal for you, but it can carry a lot of the drudgery.
Daily tasks it handles
- Quote drafts. "Quote for MLI Audio, three units of the K7 speaker bundle, standard trade terms." Jarvis produces a PDF you can review and send.
- Client follow-up. "Who have I not messaged in more than two weeks?" Jarvis pulls from your CRM (if wired) or the KB, ranks by deal size, and drafts individually personalised follow-ups.
- Meeting prep. "Prep for the Acme call at 3pm." Jarvis pulls the recent conversation history, any relevant KB documents, and hands you a bullet list.
- CRM updates. "Log a call with Ada, discussed pricing, they want to see a case study." Jarvis writes it to the CRM via the outbound webhook your operator configured.
- Pipeline snapshots. "Show me deals at proposal stage over HK$100K." Jarvis queries the CRM API and renders a table.
Things it will not do without a human
- Send external emails. Jarvis drafts. You send. This is deliberate.
- Promise pricing outside your policy. If you ask for a 40% discount and your operator set the ceiling at 20%, Jarvis will decline and redirect to your manager.
- Share internal deal notes with the client. Even by accident.
Correcting mistakes
Sales personas run into two common issues:
- Wrong client history. Jarvis mixes up two similarly-named contacts. Tell it explicitly which one — "Ada at Acme HK, not Ada at Acme UK" — and it will remember for this group.
- Tone mismatch. If it drafts something too formal or too casual, say "same message but warmer" — it iterates. If the tone is consistently off, ask your operator to tweak the persona's tone rule.
The KB
Your operator likely loaded product spec sheets, case studies, price lists, and standard terms into the KB. Ask about any of these and Jarvis cites the source. If it answers without a source and the answer feels suspiciously confident, verify against the spec sheet.
When to escalate
- Any request that mentions the words "legal", "compliance", "return", "refund", "warranty claim".
- A client asks a technical question outside the spec sheets in your KB.
- A price or delivery-date question where the KB is stale.
Ping your operator; do not let Jarvis commit to something it should not.
